Since receiving my first camera at the age of ten, I've been a photography student, photojournalist, commercial photographer, and instructor. I'm passionate about traveling. And small family farms. Cooking, too. And gardening (which sometimes is affected by the traveling). Currently, I'm working as a freelance documentary photographer, and instructor. Somewhere in the mix I'm also a full-time student pursuing my Master of Fine Arts degree. My primary interest in photography is as a documentarian. I'm particularly fascinated with capturing moments that are often overlooked in this hustle-bustle world we live in. From a conversation on a busy street to the excitement at an agricultural fair to wild berries ripening in a field, I'm intrigued and engaged by life at that particular moment. And I am beckoned to click the shutter and make an image, a record, of that moment.
