I create mixed media collages, constructions and lighting with a vocabulary based in fiber history and techniques. Many pieces use botanical imagery as symbols of energy--dormant as in the seed and bulb, incipient as in the bud, vibrant as in the blossom and leaf, or spent as in the flower gone by. The sense of the history of the making of a piece is essential. I share the narrative through layers of information that both conceal and reveal past actions.
