Judith KrischikMy paintings grow out of spontaneous brushstrokes followed by controlled chance. The emerging of a certain image is not intentional. Trying to capture these images before they slip away is one of the objectives of my art. The multiple layers of the dreamlike are mirrored in my style of painting. I start with impasto acrylics and work by thinning them down to an almost watercolor consistency. Using layer upon layer, I try to bring out depth and transparency that supports the emerging image.
